Effective September 2026. This policy governs the Harbour Creative website and the information collected through inquiry correspondence.
Scope of this policy
This privacy policy applies to personal information collected through harbourcreative.com.au and any direct correspondence initiated through the site. Harbour Creative handles personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in Schedule 1 of that Act. By using the site, you consent to the practices described here.
Information we collect
We collect only what is reasonably necessary to respond to inquiries and understand how the site is used. This includes information you provide through the strategic inquiry form — such as your name, email address, organisation, and project details — and technical data collected automatically, including your IP address, browser type, device information, and pages visited. Where lawful and practicable, you may interact with us anonymously or under a pseudonym.

The site uses cookies and similar technologies to maintain site functionality, analyse traffic, and improve the experience. How we use information

Where a provider stores or processes personal information outside Australia, we take reasonable steps — consistent with APP 8 — to ensure the recipient does not breach the Australian Privacy Principles in relation to that information.
Data retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by law. We take reasonable steps to protect information from misuse, interference, loss, and unauthorised access, modification, or disclosure. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify it.
Notifiable data breaches
If a data breach occurs that is likely to result in serious harm to any individual whose information is involved, we will notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) in accordance with the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme under Part IIIC of the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Access, correction and your rights
Under APPs 12 and 13, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you and ask us to correct it if it is inaccurate, out of date, incomplete, irrelevant, or misleading. Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, you may lodge a complaint with us using the contact details below. We will investigate and respond within a reasonable period. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may escalate the matter to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
